What is Bandwidth?

Bandwidth is the data transfer rate, which means the instantaneous capacity of internet traffic.

Bandwidth, which we can define as the amount of data, bandwidth and transfer rate, is called the total amount of downloads used when entering websites.

To give an example, let the total size of the image and codes used on the home page of your website be 5 MB. When 100 people visit your site, a traffic of 100x5=500MB occurs. The size of this traffic gradually increases as visitors begin to navigate between the pages on your site.

Therefore, the more visitors your site has, the more bandwidth you need.

If the bandwidth limit in your hosting package is reached, access to your site will stop completely. Therefore, if you have a large number of visitors, it would be more logical to switch to packages that offer unlimited bandwidth.

BANDWIDTH RESTRICTION

Within the scope of the social media regulation, which has been on the agenda recently, bandwidth restriction or band narrowing has also become one of the topics that are very curious.

When bandwidth is restricted, data transfer rates between that website and the user are reduced. This means that users will connect to that website more slowly.

The more bandwidth a website's data connection has, the more data capacity is sent and received at once.
