The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a list on Thursday banning 29 US citizens from entering the country.

Mark Zuckerberg and US Vice President Kamala Harris were also among those banned from entering the country.

Zuckerberg, Harris and others will be banned indefinitely, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Interestingly, Russia has decided to put LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky on the banned list as well.

LinkedIn has largely avoided being the center of attention when it comes to the war in Ukraine.

But a month earlier, Roslansky had issued a written statement denouncing Russia's invasion as "illegal and unjust." Russia reportedly banned LinkedIn's CEO because of this notice.

Parag Agrawal, CEO of Twitter, another social media platform, was not banned by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is known that Twitter has been filtering the news about Russian officials and broadcasting it at noon, especially recently.

Russia's ban on Zuckerberg's entry to the country is due to the fact that Russia previously banned Facebook and Instagram under the extremist law. Facebook and Instagram, apps widely used in Russia, were accused of "involving in extremist activities".

However, Russia did not ban WhatsApp, another Facebook organization, stating that the app is used for communication and is not a source of miscommunication.

Meta company, especially recently, allows users to make different claims about Russian President Putin and post them on Instagram and Facebook.
