Google's new feature will give you a sigh of relief!

HomepageArticlesGoogle SEOGoogle's new feature will give you ...

Almost all keyboard applications have an auto-correction feature. Autocorrect detects word mistakes you accidentally make while typing messages on your smartphone and suggests the correct one. By following your usage habits, it tries to predict the next word you will write while forming a sentence. Thus, you save time, even if it is for a few seconds.

Google introduced a new feature that will take autocorrect one step further. The grammar check that the company has integrated into the Gboard application checks your spelling based on the grammar rules of the language you use the keyboard. However, the number of languages available for now is quite limited.

Gboard will say 'stop' to grammar mistakes
Google announced on its blog page that the grammar check feature can be used on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 models. Stating that it will check grammar while the user is typing with the Gboard keyboard, the company announced that when it detects an error, it will instantly suggest the correct one.

Gboard's new feature released for Pixel 6 series
Stating that grammar control will be done on the device in order to ensure user privacy, Google said:

Despite the widespread adoption of smartphones, creating long texts is still quite cumbersome. Grammatical errors can occur when writing messages, especially in formal situations. Fixing them on a small screen can also take time.

To eliminate these difficulties; We are introducing the grammar correction feature built directly into the Gboard on Pixel 6 and running entirely on the device to protect your privacy. The feature will detect grammatical errors while typing and suggest corrections.

It only supports English language
Google has announced that the Gboard grammar check is currently only available in English. The company, which promised to support more languages in the future, did not share a clear date. Every language has a different grammatical rule. The same subject, predicate and verb structure that is valid in English can look ridiculous when trying to adapt it to Turkish. The same is true for all languages.

So it will probably take a long time for Google to integrate the grammar rules of all languages into Gboard. It is estimated that languages such as German, Spanish, Russian and Turkish will fall within the scope of this feature in the first place.
