Google Limit for Applications Requiring Location Access

The button was pressed for applications requiring unnecessary location access from users. Google, which did not welcome this for privacy , has drawn some limits on developers. Here are the details of the news that will significantly affect Google privacy.

Some smartphone apps constantly request location information from users. Stealing from the battery life of the user's phone, these apps can be stopped by Android 10 users . Android 11, which has plans to be launched this year, is also planned to take some measures.

Strict measures for location access are coming

Although this problem is solved only for top-level Android users, it should be finished for smartphone users in general.

The company wants to control location access by making changes to these policies . Some additional precautions are coming for users using versions older than Android 10. After that, the developers have to get approval before they need location access to their applications.

The company's decision will become active in April. Sanctions are planned to be implemented on August 3 and, if necessary, removal of old applications from the platform on November 2. Do you think that this decision taken by Google will make an important contribution to privacy? You can transfer your ideas to us from the comments section.
