Turkey (Türkçe) 5g announced the first address in Turkey! What will change in our lives with 5G?
Stating that 5G infrastructure preparations are continuing, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Turhan announced where this technology will be implemented for the first time. So what will change when 5G enters our lives?
It continues work on 5G technologies in Turkey with all speed. In many events, important statements are made on behalf of 5G.
Finally Transport and Infrastructure Minister Cahit Turhal, '5G where Turkey will be first?' answered the question.
Answering questions from members of the press, Minister Turhal announced the address where 5G will be used this year. According to the statement, it will be the first address of 5g Istanbul airport in Turkey.
WHAT WILL CHANGE WITH 5G?
The future of wireless networks goes through 5G. So what is 5G and how will it make our life easier?
Our phones, clocks, homes and cars need a fast connection that doesn't break. To offer the bandwidth needed by all these devices, a brand new wireless network is born: 5G
Downloading and uploading videos in Ultra HD resolution with 5G will be faster. The dream of thousands of devices connected to the internet will also come true with 5G.
Short answer: Yes. Today, 4G LTE can transfer 1 gigabit of data per second; so downloading a short HD movie takes about an hour in perfect conditions. The problem is that you can't reach the maximum speed of 4G most of the time.
5G will increase download speeds to 10 gigabits per second. Of course, the speed of 5G will also be negatively affected by factors such as buildings, walls, and other signals, and will probably not get much closer to this theoretical speed. However, it will still be much faster than 4G.
Giant consortiums of leading communications firms are working to set world-class standards for 5G.
While many of these standards have not been finalized yet, experts think that 5G will offer backward compatibility (with 4G and 3G).
5G uses higher radio frequencies compared to 4G. While 4G covers up to 20 MHz bands, 5G can use the frequency band up to 6GHz.
The reason these high frequencies are used is that they are mostly empty at the moment and can move data faster.
The problem is that high frequency signals do not reach as far as low frequencies. Therefore, multiple input and output antennas (MIMOs) are expected to be used where 5G is available.
WHAT IS 5G?
The letter "G" in 5G means "generation". 5G will resume 4G LTE where it left off and add a high speed of data transfer alongside familiar functions such as phone calls, SMS, web browsing.
HOW RELIABLE IS 5G?
The telecommunications industry is seen as a great prey for hackers who want to access personal conversations or access to confidential data with the millions of dollars of data they store. An up-to-date study against 5G, which promises to be not only faster but safer than previous networks, reveals that it is not secure enough.
Undergoing a comprehensive security analysis of the features of 5G, researchers from ETH Zurich, the University of Lorraine and Dundee University state that there are many security gaps in this service, and this can lead to countless cyber attacks.
Evmez, evaluating the main findings obtained in the research, states that although this technology has developed some data protection features compared to 3G and 4G, there are critical vulnerabilities and hackers can easily benefit from them. Stating that improvements should be made in the privacy section and authentication capacity, Evmez emphasizes that users cannot be safe against targeted attacks.
