BTK has determined the knowledge and skills that a cyber security expert should have. The standards were published in the Official Gazette.

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) has announced the knowledge and skills to look for in a cyber security expert. Professional mathematics, term and foreign language knowledge, action determination knowledge and skill for cyber event, programming knowledge, ability to review and interpret track records, encryption and algorithm knowledge, ability to manage vulnerability, danger, risk, and information about events, cyber security What a specialist should have. The national vocational standard prepared by the Vocational Qualifications Authority on cyber security personnel was also published in the Official Gazette .

For those who intend to take part in the cyber security sector, to clarify the concepts:

  • Incident before the event: An event that does not cause harm to the employee, the workplace or equipment, even though there is potential.
  • Security test: An external user review and inspection process to reveal the flaws of the security mechanisms of an information technology system.
  • Vulnerability: Defects envisaged in software, hardware and human factors, which do not prevent the execution of the function but can be exploited by threats to initiate and execute the attack.
  • Trace record: Records of events occurring on hardware such as servers and computers and network devices, along with other structural information.
